You can be the College Republican with a giant stick up your ass who thinks you are so important that you can change anything with just a phone call. Or you can be a badass who changes thing by making a stand. You can't win if you sit on your ass, but you will win if you go out there and get the job done.

dont you wish you were a badass like me ... don't ya?
Fellow College Republicans,
Due to family obligations and responsibilities, I will not be able to devote
the time our cause deserves to the role of State Chairman through this
fall's election and into 2007. Events have occurred in my family that I
could not have predicted at the time of my election last April. Both the
deteriorating health of a close family member and the departure of my
brother for Iraq this winter contribute to my need to spend more time with
my family than the position allows. Therefore, I have made the difficult
decision not to run for re-election this spring.
I want to thank you all for the honor of serving as your Chair. Together, we
have accomplished a lot as an organization. We recruited over 3,000 new
members this fall. We provided hundreds of volunteer hours to local
campaigns. We founded The Minnesota Conscience, the MCR official newspaper.
I will always remember the people I had the opportunity to meet as your
Chair, and I will always value the relationships I have formed during my
time in the Minnesota College Republicans.
I am confident that MCRs will continue to flourish in 2006. Looking ahead to
the election this fall, we must all bear in mind the importance of teamwork
as we strive for victory. Benjamin Franklin once said, "We must all hang
together, or assuredly, we shall all hang separately." If we maintain the
strength of this organization, I know the College Republicans will be the
driving force behind the great victories of the Republican Party this fall.
